Argan oil
The argan tree is endemic to south-western Morocco, which produces almost all of the world's argan oil. The Arganeraie has been a UNESCO biosphere reserve since 1998, and argan know-how was added to UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2014.
Damask rose
The Kelaat M'Gouna valley, at the foot of the High Atlas, grows Damask roses for rose water and essential oil. A festival celebrates the harvest every spring.
Rhassoul
A mineral clay mined in the Middle Atlas region, rhassoul has been used for centuries to wash skin and hair, especially at the hammam.
